Per the Ellis Island manifest from his 1926 emigration to the US:
Otto was born in Dingolfing Germany, a small town NE of Munich, to his mother and father in 1905. In 1926, he was 21, single, and worked as a locksmith. His visa #42424 was issued in Stuttgart Nov 10, 1926, and he was last living in Dingolfing. He departed Hamburg, Nov 30, 1926 aboard the S.S. Reliance, capacity 1100 pax, cruising down the Elbe River out to the North Sea, arriving New York, NY on Dec. 10, 1926. His mother was Creszenz Aicher, her address Dingolfing, Bergstr. 371; destination: his uncle M. Hirschauer (presumably his mother's brother) at 24 Andrew St. in Buffalo NY, likely by train.

Can't locate Ellis info. on first wife Anna Schneider, nor her brother Erich. In the 1930 census, Otto & Anna were already married (1930), living at 111 Moselle St. in Buffalo, which has been demolished, viewing Google maps (2014). The home next door, 113, is boarded up. In 1930, Otto was working as a machinist at an auto shop, and his Naturalization status on the census form indicated "Pa" = "First Papers", earning his US citizenship in 1932. Also living with them was Anna's younger brother Erich Heinrich Schneider, age 20, who'd emigrated to the states in 1928 and was working for an optical co. Anna/Anne and he were listed as "Al" = "Alien" on the 1930 census sheet. Erich enlisted as a PFC in the US Army Dec 15, 1942, age 33. Just two years later, he died in WWII. See his memorial at 1159742.

Soon after the birth of daughter Ann/Anne/Anna, wife Anna past away (1938). Otto then met Mary Louise Heissenberger and they wed in 1939. They are reported in the 1940 Census, along with Anne Louise, age 2 (from Otto's first marriage) in Lancaster on Genesee St, reporting that both lived in Buffalo in 1935. His WWII draft card in Oct 1940 revealed his full DOB and his address simply Genesee Rd in Lancaster with wife Mary. He was employed with the O'Rourke Baking Co. of 812 E. Ferry St. After the census that year (1940?), Mary gave birth to daughter Frieda in June. The had many acres on the large working farm in Lancaster/Bowmansville, NY; my father George worked there some as a young man. As an adult, daughter Frieda married Paul Fisher, having daughters Heidi and Bonnie, and later remarried Gene Lowery, her husband today, they're in Bradenton, FL but attempts to connect with Frieda have failed. Daughter "Annie" also had 2 husbands, with the first of which she had 5 children, a Schendel nephew in W Seneca told us in June 2018. Later, Annie remarried (Jim Schendel) and they lived together in Lockport, as reported in Aunt Mary's obit in 1999. Ann passed in 2012.
