Myrtle Martha Woodward was born in the town of Wingville in 1873 and there grew to maturity. She graduated from Montfort high school, from Patteville Normal, from the University of Wisconsin, studied at Columbia college and taught 24 years in the Minneapolis schools. She was a remarkable teacher. She died in her home at Minneapolis after having attended church services Sunday evening with her sister Alice, July 2, 1924. Her body was brought back for burial, where services where held. She is survived by her aged father, Robert Woodward, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Jewett of Minneapolis, Mrs. Water Jones of Cuba City; and Miss Alice of Minneapolis.
