MULLINS - Mrs. Juliette Rogers Owens, 73, wife of David H. Owens, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Owens was born April 7, 1940 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Marvin Brunson Rogers and the late Leila Pearl Brown Rogers.
She was a retired bankteller and a homemaker. Mrs. Owens was a very active and devoted member of Gapway Baptist Church, where she taught the Ladies Sunday School Class, was a member of the church choir, was a Senior Adult leader and a member of the WMU.
Surviving Mrs. Owens in addition to her husband of the home are a sister, Faye Rogers of Brittons Neck; and two brothers, Carol Rogers (Helen) and M. B. Rogers, Jr., both of Brittons Neck.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, at Gapway Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
