Bill Connock was the son of John Lewis Connock and Estelle Bourne Connock. On Aug. 9, 1938, he was married to Helen Lundie Connock.He was retired from J.P. Stevens after 36 years and was North Carolina Safe Driver of the year.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy and a life member of American Legion Post 325 and served as commander in 1989 and 1990. He was founder and commander of the Honor Guard for Post 325. He had served on various committees of Post 325 and was a member of the Morotock Masonic Lodge No. 210, the V.F.W. and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church.Full military honors were given by American Legion Post 325. Masonic Rites were given by Morotock Masonic Lodge No. 210. He was also my uncle by marriage who stepped in for my Dad and gave me away in marriage,He was a wonderful man.
