Amy was a junior at Thomas Carr Howe High School where she was an honor student and a member of the French and Math clubs. Miss Weidner also was a cheerleader for the school's wrestling team and played the clarinet in the school band. She was survived by her daugter Emily Elizabeth Weidner, parents Irvin S, and Gloria J Reich Weidner; brother John Paul Weidner, sisters Taunya and Cassandra Weidner, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs John Reich.

Amy was murdered in her home on the morning of Nov 13, 1989 when she stayed home from school. Later in 2012 her killer was brought to justice and was later sentenced to 65 years.Amy was taken away at the tender age of 16.She was a great person, very loving and kind.She has been missed .The person that took her away has still not been found.We will never give up hope that someday this useless murder will be solved.
