(See her mother's memorial for more as well). Born "Maryann" or "Mary", Marie passed suddenly. She was one of many sisters, her parents had all girls and, in 2009, sisters Henri, Bebe and Alice, and a large extended family, including her husband Don, two sons, daughter and grandchildren/great grandchildren and more survived her.

Marie spoke only Polish (no English) until age 7; her mother spoke no English, uncertain about her dad. She was a high school graduate of Buffalo Sacred Heart Academy.

Marie shared Polish traditions and foods including tasty pierogies (farmer's cheese or sauerkraut were the family favorites). Also, for many years, she made sure to take the Easter foods (cross bread, lamb butter, fresh and smoked polish sausages, ham, eggs, horseradish, vinegar, bacon and wine even) for the Swieconka or Easter blessing. The Swienconka dish was made from the blessed foods (cooked, chilled, cut up), adding in vinegar and horseradish. It was eaten as an appetizer or side with fresh cross or rye bread with lamb butter.

Marie loved family greatly, family camping trips, all the dog shows she and Don went to with their daughter over the years and, of course, casino "entertainment" with husband Don. Marie will be missed greatly.
