LENOIR - Mrs. Katherine Teague Price, 84, of Lenoir, went home to the open arms of her heavenly father and her daughter on April 4, 2010, at Caldwell Hospice.
She was born to the late Allison Teague and Clara Walser Teague.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Albert G. Price; a son, David G. Price and wife, Alice, of Taylorsville; a daughter, Connie D. Deal of Lenoir; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Daisy Hollar of Conover.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathie Mae Holloway; four brothers; and three sisters.
Katherine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved family gatherings, baking, crafting, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Katherine was a great woman with a heart of gold. She will forever be loved and missed and will always be in our hearts.
A funeral service will be held in Pendry's chapel Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Steve Butler officiating. The family will receive friends today, Wednesday, April 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Pendry's. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons, Chuck Price, Chris Price, Jason Deal, Roger Keever, John Hutchinson and Charlie Johnson.
The family requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St., Lenoir, N.C. 28645.
