Married to Alice Camilla Kelly, then Elain Hill, & then Sandy. Children with first wife: Herbert Frank Jr. (son was Tracy), Denise Marie, Bradley Kurt, James Michael, Mark Lee. In later years owned a large farm off Harlan Road in Manistee County, Michigan where his ashes were scattered.
