Henry's name is spelled "Overmyer" in the 1850 census, "Overmire" in the 1870 census, and "Overmier" in the 1880 census.

The following notes are by Mr. Overmyer, the original creator of this memorial.
First son of Hugh & Elanor (Yost). He married Myra A. Day in Bowling Green, OH on Sept. 10, 1862 during the Civil War. Several of his brothers were serving for New York and Ohio Regiments. Children: Homer, Hiram, Emily, Willie, Cora, Dora (died at 9 months), triplets: Olive, Orin (died at birth), and Glenn (died at 5 months). Henry had a small farm south of Akron, Michigan with a creek running through the west field. Perkins Cemetery (where son Hiram and several grandchildren are buried) is down the road to the west. Wife Myra died May 12, 1901, she was a 7th day Adventist.
