Alfred Henry Overmyer was the first son of Homer and Catherine. He helped his father build barns around Tuscola County and worked in the Copper Mines of the MI U.P. with his brother, Leonard. He eventually became a Plumber and then worked for Sears Roebuck Co. He took his children and grandchildren hunting to Northern Michigan (Wexford & Manistee Co.) where many eventually settled. His brother Leonard served in WWI. Married Bessie (Hatchew), their Children: Jackson Dermont (WWII Vet), Bruce Darell (WWII Vet), Marjorie, Arlene, Bessie, Herbert (WWII Vet), Later Married Catherine Turner, Children: Yvonne, & Paul Douglas (Vietnam Vet).
