MURDER VICTIM.
Emil, the son of Emil and Kay (nee Maciejewski) Knospe, grew up with his sisters, Camille A. and Clarine J. and brother, Eric E. in the City of Buffalo, New York.
Emil married Joni and together raised two sons, Warren and Brain. Divorced from Spouse #1.
Emil's second wife was Kathleen M. (Blatter) Knospe and they had three sons. Divorced from Spouse #2.
Emil Knospe was murdered in the basement of his home at 156 Grandview Drive, Amherst, New York, by James L. Travers who was his tenant. Emil, age 54, was killed almost immediately. Travers then went upstairs to the first floor and shot Emil’s girlfriend, Cecilia Wargo, age 39, in the jaw and arm. It was apparent that Travers was paranoid and thought people were out to do him harm. Travers drove into Buffalo stopping on Ashland Avenue. He drank a couple of beers, smoked two cigarettes and shot himself.
Rest in Peace.
