Joe is the son of Walenty (Valentine) and Salomea (Sally) (Matusik) Winiarz. He was raised in Buffalo and Pine Ridge Road, Cheektowaga with his siblings: Anthony, Edward, Eleanor, Helen and Francis.
Joe married Tessie Gister. Together they raised two daughters: Barbara and Susan at 72 Rejtan, Buffalo, New York.
Joe was a member of the NFTA Local #1342 and the West Seneca Senior Center.
Walter and Evelyn Dressler interred below Joe and Tess Winiarz are very good friends. They bought their crypts at the same time so they would be together forever.
