Tess was born Theresa, the daughter of Ignatius and Nepomucyna Gister. She grew up with her siblings: Alfreda, Philomena, Charlotte, Helen, Regina and Walter on Weaver Street and 72 Rejtan Avenue in Buffalo, New York.
Tess married Joseph Winiarz. Together they raised two daughters: Barbara and Susan at 72 Rejtan, Buffalo, New York.
Tess was a member of St. Casimir's Mothers Club and West Seneca Senior Center.
Walter and Evelyn Dressler interred below Tess and Joe Winiarz are their very good friends. Both couples bought their crypts at the same time so they would be together forever.
