Rev. D. L. Wandschneider

The Rev. D. L. Wandschneider, 67, retired Methodist Minister, died of a heart attack Monday, June 30, at Hartford memorial Hospital. His home was at 304 Monroe Ave.

Rev. Wandschneider entered the ministry in 1931 and retired in 1971 after serving 40 years in Methodist Churches in Milwaukee, Waterford, Shawano, West Bend, Manitowac, Hartford and Shaboygan Falls. After his retirement he served as visiting pastor for the local church.

He was the son of the late Fred and Charlotte Langholff Wandschneider and was born in Fort Atkinson April 20, 1908. After completing High School he attended Carroll Collega and then went to Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.

In 1933 he married Mildred Holtz in Waukesha. He is survived by his wife and three children, Joanne (Allyn) Guay of Lenora, James and (Joyce) of ??? and John (Julie) of Mequin. He is also survived by six grandchildren, a brother Willard of Kohler, and sister Winifred Wandschneider, Fort Atkinson.

Rev. Wanschneider was a member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the first United Methodist Church with the Rev. T Edward White officiating. Internment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Prior to the services there was a visitation at the Barnet Funeral Home.

The family has indicated that memorials to the First United Methodist Church will be appreciated
