Mabel Klapper, age 98, of Berlin, formerly of Neshkoro, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2013, at the Brown-Wilcox Retirement Home of Berlin under the care of the Agnesian Hospice Hope.

Mabel was born on September 17, 1914, in the Town of Seneca, Green Lake County, the daughter of Louis and Emma (Neubauer) Jantz.

She married Joseph Klapper and they both were the owners and operators of the Buffalo Joe's Tavern of Neshkoro for many years, Joe preceded her in death in 1980.

Mabel is a member of the Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Fairburn.

They never had children and survivors include cousins, sisters in law, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral service for Mabel will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Downtown Berlin with the Pastor Gregory Sluke officiating.

Immediately following the services all are invited to a luncheon with the family in the Funeral Home Family Center which is accessible by elevator stair lift for those in need.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family and pay their respects to Mabel on Monday night September 16, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the service or from 10 to 11 a.m.

Committal and burial will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Saint James Cemetery of Neshkoro.
