Otis R. Abell, 76, of Hinckley, passed away Thursday, August 28, 1982 at the Sandwich Community Hospital in Sandwich.

He was born January 15, 1906 in Lee, IL the son of Lovejoy and Claribel (Cradduck) Abell. He married Lila Thompson May 8, 1927 in Triumph, IL.

He was a retired farmer, a member of the Hinckley United Methodist Church and the DeKalb County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Dean) Schudt and Mrs. Roger (Arlene) Petschke; two sons, Merle (Pete) and LeRoy, all of Hinckley; ten grandchildren; and three brothers, Walter of Taber, Alberta, Canada, Ira of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Lauren of Hinckley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday August 28, 1982 at the Nash Memorial Chapel in Hinckley with the Rev. Wayne Kirk officiating.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley.
