Johnny M. Adams, 56, of Lake Brownwood, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bangs Church of Christ with Michael Light officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was born in San Antonio and married Nancy Ross in 1963 in Del Rio.. He worked as a X-ray technician and moved to Lake Brownwood in 1989. He was a member of Bangs Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, of Lake Brownwood; one son, Michael Adams of Lake Brownwood; one daughter, Amy Ortiz of Midland; his mother, Jerry Adamas of Lake Brownwood; two grandchildren; one niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
