Early Life: Vera was born December 14, 1919, in Elmo, Utah, to Henry Rasmus and Elizabeth Ann Richards Rasmussen. She was raised in Elmo with seven siblings.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Vera married Gerald Stringham in 1941 and they shared many wonderful years together. They loved traveling and camping together at various destinations and national parks. Gerald passed away in 1987. In 1999, Vera was fortunate to find love again and married Reed Brunson of Payson, Utah. They shared six wonderful years together before his death in 2005. Vera often said that she was "lucky to have loved and been loved by two wonderful men." During her life, Vera enjoyed working at Brigham Young University for 21 years. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, and reading old western books. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sweet mother and grandmother, Vera Adalaide Rasmussen Stringham Brunson passed away peacefully, surrounded by members of her family, on February 21, 2017, at the age of 97.

Survived By: Her children: Geraldine (Mark) Francis and Boyd Stringham; four stepchildren: Janice (Howard) Horrocks, Reeta (Max) Staheli, Phyllis Martin and Warren (Sheri) Brunson; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren and many more step-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Her husbands, Gerald Stringham and Reed Brunson; her daughter, Karen (David) Everett; stepdaughter, Connie Lawson; and granddaughter, Lisa Call.
