Jimmy Williams went missing on November 20, 1970 after driving away in his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro.
Leah Johnson and Thomas Rios were in the car with him. The three teenagers were never heard from again. All were students at Sayre High School in Sayre, Oklahoma.
In 2013, the Camaro was found at the bottom of Foss Lake, containing the remains of the three teens.
Jimmy lived the first year of his life in Dardanelle, Arkansas before moving to Sayre. His mother, Betty, married Winston William on June 5, 1957 and Winston then adopted Jimmy as his son. Jimmy attended school at Sayre High School except for his sophomore year when he moved to Dardanelle. After completing the school year, he returned to Sayre and worked at Pete Hartman's 7th Street Grocery.

On November 20, 1970, Jimmy and two friends, Leah Johnson and Thomas Rios, went for a ride in his then-recent purchase of a blue 1969 Chevy Camaro to a high school football game and weren't heard from since. On September 17, 2013, his car was found in Foss Lake and was retrieved from the water. After many years of worry and wondering, Jimmy and his friends were finally found.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Betty Williams and biological father, Lamar Carter.

He is survived by his brothers, Rick Williams and fiancée, Casey, Sayre, OK, Gary Williams and wife, Betty, Sayre, OK; his sisters, Sherri Hill and husband, Drew, Piedmont, OK, Donna Didier and husband, Don, Pocola, OK, Rita Tharp and husband, Steve, Farmington, AR, Debbie Carter, Little Rock, AR, Angie Hearnsberger and husband, James, Little Rock, AR and Ginger Chronister and husband, Norman, Russellville, AR; his stepmother, Imogene Carter, Dardanelle, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
