Margaret Farmer Vanhoy 76; of 231 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski, died Monday evening in the N.C. Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1914 in Wythe County and was the daughter of the late Frederick Walter Farmer and Annie Mae Smith Farmer.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Franklin Vanhoy, Pulaski; two daughters, Joyce Vanhoy Holland, Laurinburg, N.C,, Nola Marilyn Vanhoy, Morgantown, N.C.; one son, Oscar Phillip Vanhoy, Indian Mills, N.J.; three sisters, Stella Murphy and Mary Bryant, both of Pulaski, Dorothy Witcher, High Point, N.C.; three brothers, Marvin Farmer, Tampa, Fla., Rudolph Farmer, Pulaski, Donald Farmer, Philadelphia, Pa.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from .the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Bethune officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be held Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial donations be made to the Westminister Presbyterian Chapel, c/o Mrs. Carlyle W. McMillian, Route 3, Box 433, Pulaski, Va. 24301 Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
