Mrs. Barbara Jane Walter Airheart of Neisler Road, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 12, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center. The family will receive friends at her home 2:00 to 3:45pm Sunday, with a funeral service to follow at 4 pm officiated by Rev. Jeffery Richards. Burial will be at New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery.
Jane was born December 11, 1933 in Concord to the late M.L. and Sarah Blackwelder Walter. She previously worked as a teacher's aide and as an operator with Concord Telephone Company. Jane was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Airheart.
Jane is survived by her children, Jeff Airheart, Joe Airheart and wife Susan, John Airheart and wife Gina, Jan A. Graham, and Josh Airheart and wife Tamara; grandchildren, Tyler, Hillary, Jessica, Alaina, Kyle, Hayden, and Wilson Airheart, and Cade Graham; brothers, Mike Walter and Pinkney Walter; and sister, Christine Tharp.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Bonnie Culp, Judy Ackett, Michelle Davis, and Deidra Drye.
