The youngest of five children, and the second son, of Francesco and Rosaria (Colombo) La Corte.

His father died in Dec. 1945 when Joe was 14.

He married his first wife, Gloria Wilcox (b. 1935), in about Dec. 1955 and they had three daughters: Donna (b. Dec 1956), Linda (b. Nov 1958) and Michelle (b. Apr 1961). He and Gloria divorced around 1971.

Around 1974, Joe married his second wife, Joanne, and they resided in California and then Alabama. They also eventually divorced (about 1983 or 1984). After this divorce, Joe lived in Huntsville, Alabama.

Joe married a third time about 1997 (age 65). He married a widow; Betty Bush (nee Perkins).

Mr. La Corte died at age 75. He was survived by his third wife Betty, his three daughters and their spouses, a stepson (Johnny Roden) and an unknown number of grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Toni Danetra and Dotty Barca in New York and several nieces and nephews.
