Lavada served as a volunteer pink lady at Community Hospital. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a 2-year mission for the Church along with her husband. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chester House. They were the parents of three children: Bill & wife Kathy House of Cicero, Rhonda VanBriggle of Thousand Oaks, California and Terrie & husband Ron Jeffs of Orem, Utah. Nine Grandchildren, One great grandchild, along with three brothers; George & wife Lou Ann Kelly of Alexandria; Eulyss Kelly of Austin, Ted & wife Luise Kelly of San Antonio, Texas and one sister; Bonnie Huckleberry of Seymour.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Joseph and Bertha Mae (Norwood) Kelly. Two Brothers: W.J. Kelly and Ronald Kelly.
