Helen Tweed, 82, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at Madison Health & Rehabilitation Center, Mars Hill, NC. Mrs. Tweed was born August 14, 1931 in Madison County.
She was preceded in death by her: parents, George Harrison & Stacy White Boyd; sons, Harry and Jimmy Tweed.
Surviving is her: daughter, Peggy Roberts (Bill Boone) of Mars Hill; grandsons; Brian (Deb) and Mickey (Valerie); nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three nieces and Alan Roberts.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2013, in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Cross Rock Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
