MICHAEL M. COLLIAS SR.

Michael M. Collias Sr., 86, of Charleston, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at home after a long battle with cancer.

Mike was born in High Coal, W.Va., and was a devoted husband and father. He was a member of the St. John's Greek Orthodox Church in Kanawha City. Mike was a World War II Army veteran and proud member of the 36th Division of the 142nd Infantry.

He and his wife, Teddy, were owners and operators of the Swan Superette and Swan Laundromat. Mike was a graduate of Malden High School and Charleston Business College.

Mike is survived by his wife, Teddy; daughter, Carolyn Collias Carte and her husband, Rick, of Charleston; son, Michael Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Charleston; and grandson, Michael Carte of Charleston.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Bartlett-Burdette Cox Funeral Home with Father David Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston.

Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
