Mary Beatrice "Bea" Brisendine Foreman, 88, of Long Ridge, passed away at home on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
She was a member of the Walton Union Church and enjoyed gardening, sewing and working in her flower beds. She was a volunteer grandparent at Clendenin Elementary School for 17 years, helping kids throughout the day.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Farris Foreman; sons, Robert and Jerry Foreman; parents, Edward and Sarah (Harper) Brisendine; siblings, Gracie, Nellie, Ollie, Bess, Albert, Oat, Clay, Bert and Marvin.
Surviving are sons, Ronnie Foreman and wife, Carol of Spotsylvania, Va., Randall Foreman and wife, Phyllis of Long Ridge; daughter, Brenda "Sue" Hively and husband, Jerry of Loris, S. C.; sister, Betty Wayne and husband Virgil of Summersville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-graandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at the Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview with Pastor Jerry Board officiating. Burial will be in the Jordan Harper Cemetery, Long Ridge. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 3, at the funeral home. Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview, is assisting the Foreman family.
