Deceased Name: JAMES ALLENSWORTH

James Allensworth, 83, of the 2500 block of Sunset Drive, died Sept. 17, 2001.

Born in Madison, Wisc., he retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service and had worked as a rental manager for Lakeland Apartments in Norfolk. Mr. Allensworth was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Chesapeake, and was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Darlene Allensworth; a daughter, Connie Hayman; a son, George Allensworth; and several grandchildren.

A private service will be held. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel, is in charge.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
