He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Wanda Maxine Carter; his brother, Terrell H. Carter and son, Steven Doyle Carter.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years; son & daughter-in-law of El Paso; son of El Paso, TX; daughter of Burleson, TX; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister in Abilene, TX; and brother in Amarillo, TX.
