Craig W. Maxfield, 42, formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, in Longville.
He was born Nov. 25, 1960, in Austin to Donald W. and Sandra (Beck) Maxfield.
After graduating from Austin High School in 1979, he worked many jobs including offshore oil rigs in Louisiana, as a bread route salesperson and most recently in a lumber yard.
He loved the outdoors, fishing and snowmobiling.
Survivors include his parents, Sandra and K.B. Askland, Austin; sister, Connie (Bill) Hardwick, Austin; brothers, Kermit (Lorie) Askland, Centralia, Wash.; Timothy Askland, Twin Cities; grandmother, Tressa Maxfield, Austin; special friend, Lesile Robinson, Longville; nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Maxfield; and grandparents, Donald D. Maxfield, Clyde and Lillian Beck, and Kermit and Mary Askland.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, and for one half hour before the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Service: 1 p.m. memorial service Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Deye officiating.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery.
