Elizabeth Ann (File) Earnhardt, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, August 25, 2005, at her home.

Born May 16, 1936, in Salisbury, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Olivia (Miller) File.

Co-owner of Earnhardt Lumber Company, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of the Altar Guild, WELCA Circle #2, Fellowship Sunday School Class, coffee hour committee, hospital visitation committee, and provided decorations for special events. She was 2nd runner up in the National Putt-Putt Golf Tournament.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Odell Earnhardt; two sons, Dell Earnhardt and his wife Linda, and Sammy Earnhardt and his wife Kim, all of Duncan; two daughters, Luann E. Bryant, and Sabrina E. Coley and her husband Scott, all of Spartanburg; and grandchildren, Ashley Earnhardt, Audrey Earnhardt, Christian Earnhardt, Clark Earnhardt, Andrew Earnhardt, Luke Earnhardt, Carson Earnhardt, Sam Earnhardt, Beau Bryant, and Lee Bryant.

Visitation was 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2005, at St. Johns Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. R. E. Lybrand, Jr., the Rev. Everette L. Lineberger, and the Rev. D. Murray Shull, Jr. Entombment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church Parish Life Center, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Lutheran Hospice, 218-A Trade Street, P. O. Box 1353, Greer, SC 29651.
