OBITUARY-
Ralph J. Fox Jr., age 78, of Osage, and formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, (Nov. 18, 2004) in Bonita Springs, Fla.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Inurnment will be at the Orchard Cemetery with Flag Presentation by the Orchard American Legion Post 641.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, where there will be a Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Scripture Wake Service at 7 p.m.
The family requests memorials be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage or the Orchard American Legion Post No. 641.

Ralph was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Osage, the son of Ralph and Catherine (Egan) Fox.
He married Helen R. Kenny on June 25, 1947, in Osage. Helen died in October of 1995. Mr. Fox retired from the Illinois Central Railroad in 1987. He was also a Navy veteran.

Ralph is survived by three daughters: Norma (Jon) Wightman of Cedar Falls, Susan (Don) LaPiere of Naples, Fla., and Sheila (Jim) Brustkern of Raymond; four sons: Michael Fox of Chattaroy, Wash., Jerry (Linda) Fox of Manhattan, Kan., Steve (Donna) Fox of Ottawa, Kan., and Ray (Lori) Fox of Washburn.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters: Dolores Faley of Waterloo, Sister Pauline Fox of Cedar Rapids, Ann Stanek of Cedar Rapids, and Judy (Jim) Leonard of Iowa City; two brothers: Bill Fox of Charles City and Larry (Maradee) Fox of Osage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen, in 1995; and a sister, Sheila Fox.
