Helen was born Helena in the City of Buffalo, New York USA, daughter of George and Catherine (nee Choczynski) Dubel. She lived at 888 Clinton Street with her siblings: Mary, Frances, John, Al, Eddie.
Helen worked as a packer in a medicine factory in the City of Buffalo, New York.
Helen married Stanley W. Odrzynski the summer of 1945.
Helen died tragically from burns in a fire shortly after her marriage in 1946. Helen was baking a pie in the oven. The pilot light on the oven went out. Helen tried to relight the pilot. The oven exploded creating a flashover. Helen was wearing an angora sweater with long fur. The sweater caught on fire. Helen had severe burns on the upper body and one side of her face from the fire and hot pie.
A Novena was being said at Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Church by her Mother. Everyone attended and said prayers in the evening. The last night of the Novena after prayers, Helen died. A psychic told Helen's Mother that it was not Helen's time to die and she had to stay and walk the earth until it was her time to die. Helen appeared to her Mother and told her she was fine and not to worry. The Dubel family was very psychic also.
Helen's Mother and Father are buried with her. After Helen's death, Stanley changed his last name to Odre. Helen's husband remarried and gave the remaining graves to her Mother and Father when Helen's Mother died.
Rest in Sweet Peace.
