Eileen Achenbach, 58, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully Friday at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pottsville, Oct. 16, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Loretta R. Fox Hughes.
She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Gerald Achenbach; daughters, Elizabeth, wife of Mark Boyer, Douglassville, and Jill Achenbach, Philadelphia; sisters, Kathleen Hughes, Saint Clair, Anne, wife of Edward Leininger, Saint Clair, Marie, wife of Donald Peluso, Marlton, N.J., and Margaret, wife of Jack Ternowchek, Glenmoore; a brother, Michael Hughes, husband of Patty, Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Sandy, wife of Kevin Davenport, Saint Clair; a grandson, Luke Boyer, Douglassville; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Clare of Assisi Church, Saint Clair, with Monsignor William Glosser as the celebrant. Friends may call from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Pottsville. The family would prefer contributions to St. Clare of Assisi Church Memorial Fund, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
