A wake will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Nakamura Mortuary, with a service at 7:30 p.m. The wake will continue at 9 a.m. Friday at Christ the King Church, with a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park. The family requests casual attire.
Mr. Abalos was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Paia. He was a retired mechanic for Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Co.
He is survived by a son, Robert Abalos; two daughters, Annette (Thomas) Lee and Donna Abalos; three sisters, Filomena Dafun, Adelina Walsh and Carole Baybayan; and four grandchildren.
