Amaro "Sam" Saumell, Jr. was beloved by all. His heart was big with room for all of his very large family and many friends. He was one of six children, two of whom left the world before he did and I'm sure they welcomed him at heaven's gate. He left behind his wife and three grown children and many grandchildren. We are very saddened by our loss. All my love always.

Daddy was a hard working man who was selfless in making sure he gave everything to his children. Because of illness as a child, he never graduated from high school. Yet, he had the highest regard for education and often gave an inordinate respect for those who academically acheived. Growing up in an enviroment that wasn't financially prosperous, he valued things... like shoes. He was proud of his good shoes. But when my feet got to an adult size of 7 and a half, he gave me his own... TRUE STORY. He always wanted us to have what he didn't have growing up.
