Myrtle Alvord
Mrs. Myrtle Katie Alvord, 75, of 437 Pottsville St., Wiconisco; died Sunday at her home. She was the widow of David Franklin Alvord.
She was born in Lykens, a daughter of the late Frederick! and Catherine Willard Zerby. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Golden Age Club of Wiconisco.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Nunemacher, Tower City; Violet, wife of James Bixler, Dawn, wife of Clarence Feree, Catherine, wife of Homer Lower, Wiconisco; and Dorothy, wife of Daniel Bopp, Lykens; four sons, Donald Alvord, Fontana, California; Carl Alvord, Dalmatia; Harold Alvord, Byron Alvord, Wiconisco; two sisters, Mrs. Letitia Adams, Tonawanda, N.Y.; Ruth Zerby, Lykens; 20 grandchildren and (seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning from Schaffstall and Schultz Funeral Home, Lykens, with the Rev. C. Arthur Sadofsky officiating. Interment will be in Wiconisco cemetery.
