OBITUARY-
Dorothy J. Dreyer, 72, Austin, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at her home.
She was born March 27, 1928, in Austin, to George and Regina (Mechenich) Dennis. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and had since retired.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, David (Diedre) Dreyer, Brownsdale, Dennis (Sue) Dreyer, Walker, Donald (Shirley) Dreyer, LeRoy, Dwight (Val) Dreyer, LeRoy, Dean Dreyer, Austin; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dennis.
Service: A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Louis Cook officiating.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery. The honorary casket bearers will be granddaughters: Stacy Dreyer, Megan Dreyer, Nicole Dreyer and Lindsey Dreyer. The casket bearers will be grandsons, Rob Dreyer, Chris Dreyer, Tony Dreyer, Scott Dreyer, Mike Dreyer and Mark Dreyer.
Visitation: There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7 p.m. wake service on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. and also from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
