Warren R. Shuman, 83, Lewisburg Warren R. Shuman, 83, of Tressler Boulevard passed away Saturday November 4, 2006 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born March 17, 1923 in Sunbury a son of the late Wilbur Wellington and Jennie (Michael) Shuman. On May 15, 1948 he married the former Jean Girton who preceded him in death on April 20, 2004. Warren attended Sunbury area schools and was a graduate of Beaver High School. Mr. Shuman was a veteran of WWII serving with the Navy. He worked as a supervisor for PPandL, starting in Williamsport, transferring to Sunbury Steam Electric Station, then on to Lancaster and finally back to Sunbury where he was a foreman of electrical repairs. He retired after 39 years of service. Mr. Shuman was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church, RR5 Selinsgrove and more recently attended St. John's United Church of Christ, Lewisburg. Warren was a past president of AARP chapter no. 1532 and of the Susquehanna Region PPandL retired persons. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and also of Shriners of North America. He was a past board member of the Ramblers Club. He was a member of the American Legion Post 25, Selinsgrove. His main focus was spending time with his family and caring for his lawn and garden. Left to cherish his memory are one son and daughter-in-law L. Scott and Dorothy T. Shuman of Lancaster, three daughters and sons-in-law Sandy S. and James A. Sanders of Millmont, Pat S. and Lynn B. Heisey of Troy, Ohio, Nancy S. and Damian M. Chepenuk of Cazenovia, New York, eleven grandchildren, six great-grand children, two brothers and four sisters-in-law Preston and Marla Shuman of Mainville, Meade and Ruth Shuman of Zions Grove, Nina Shuman of Mainville and Barbara Shuman of Georgia. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Earl Arden and Lee Shuman and one sister-in-law Arlene Shuman. Friends and family may call from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Community Methodist Church, RR5 Selinsgrove where the funeral will be conducted at 11:00 with Rev. Barry C. Robison and Rev. Paula M. Gustafson. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
