Dennis was born in Dodge City, Kansas, the oldest son of George Edward and Mabel Fern (Howe) Trow. Denny worked at several different positions throughout his life including Cessna and Boeing in Wichita, Eldorado, Inc. of Minneapolis, Ks, but his real passion was as a self-employed artist. His generous spirit, care and compassion for others were his most notable traits. Dennis left this life on May 30 as a result of an automobile accident in McPherson where he was going to help find a wheel for a young friend, Ozzie Dorsey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Florence (Hohn) Trow. Dennis leaves to survive his daughter, Mary Ann David and her husband, Daniel and son, Rex W. all of Salina; brother, Rex L., Guy, and sisters, Rita Rose, Charlotte Weis, and Connie Beets, and his companion and friend, Donna Feudner of Newton, Ks. Bear attended the Spirituality Church in Wells, Kansas (Sunset Spiritualist Camp/Church)and was an ordained minister there. He served in the military and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He had many friends and enjoyed spending time visiting with them. Family members and friends will sadly miss him. Dennis' request was to have his ashes scattered in the Rocky Mountains.

Dennis M. "Bear" Trow, 59, Salina, was born in Dodge City, Kansas, on July 17, 1948. He passed away on May 30, 2008, from injuries he received in an auto accident in McPherson County. Mr. Trow was a self-employed artist and also worked at Cessna and Boeing aircraft companies in Wichita and at Eldorado Inc. in Minneapolis. He served as an auxiliary police officer in McKeesport and Glassport, Pennsylvania. He was an ordained minister in the Spiritualist church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Trow, in 2001; and his parents, George E. and Mabel Fern (Howe) Trow. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann David and her husband, Daniel; and a son, Rex W. Trow, all of Salina; two brothers, Rex L. Trow and Guy Trow, both of Salina; three sisters, Rita Rose of Ellsworth and Charlotte Weis and Connie Beets, both of Salina; and a close friend, Donna Feudner of Newton.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakdale Park, Shelter House No. 1, Salina, with military honors provided by VFW Post 1432. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, VFW, American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas 67401, is in charge of arrangements.
