ROBERT W. BOWLEN
Robert William Bowlen, 63, of Virginia Beach, a retired regional director for WANG Labs, died Dec. 30, 1994, in his residence. Mr. Bowlen was born in Carrollton, Mo. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War with 21 years of service. Mr. Bowlen was a member of the Fleet Reserve at Oceana and the V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Irene E. Bowlen of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Lynn Wagner of Virginia Beach and Judy G. Dillow of Charleston, S.C.; three sons, Robert L. Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, James S. Smith of Lanexa, Va., and William T. Bowlen of Florence, Ala.; his mother, Nellie E. Bowlin of Bogard, Mo.; a sister, Nellie Rodenburg of Bogard, Mo.; a brother, Harold Bowlen of Vidor, Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery in Virginia Beach with full military honors. There will be a visitation Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
