Charles Porter Benningfield, Jr., age 44, passed way May 22, at his residence in Tampa, Florida. He was a native of Marion County, son of the late Charles Porter "Doc" Benningfield and Mildred Allen Benningfield.
He is survived by his wife Ann Dexter Benningfield; two daughters Mrs. Debra Beaven of Louisville and Miss Connie Knopp of Lebanon; his mother Mildred Allen Benningfield of Campbellsville Route 4; four sisters: Mrs. Frances Sadler of Marianna, Florida; Mrs. Geraldine Conner of Cannelton, Indiana; Mrs. Daisy Lee Logsdon of Louisville; and Mrs. Patricia Hyserman of Albany, New York; one brother Robert Benningfield of Martin, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesdy at Bosley Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Hardin Hosey of Elkhorn Baptist Church. Burial was at Ryder Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lyle Benningfield, J. R. Benningfield, Damien Benningfield, Gowdy Maupin, Donald A. Dudgeon, and Willard Dudgeon.
