Son of Charles and Eliza A. Garoutte Lovette, came with the family to Greene Co., Tennessee in 1833. As was his father and brothers was a brickmason who constructed homes, schools, and churches. He, his wife Catherine Margane George Lovett, and several of their children moved to the Crescent Community near Kinsley, Kansas, 7 December 1885.

Born in Burlington Co., NJ. Came with family to Greene Co., Tennessee in 1833. Served as Private in Co. "G" 4th Mounted Infantry USA. Brickmason, builder of Chucky Methodist Church and Academy, Hermon Methodist Church, and various homes on the Warrensburg Road. Relocated to Kansas in 1886.
