LA CROSSE — Betty I. Janke, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at her home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Nekoma to Elmer "Pug" and Elva (Mendenhall) Wilson.
She graduated from La Crosse High School in 1949.
She married Frank T. West on April 18, 1951. He died March 29, 1975.
She married Harry W. Janke on Nov. 25, 1979. He died May 17, 1995.
She worked at the Rush County Register of Deeds office from 1976 to 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Schaben, La Crosse, and Gale West, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada; a brother, Floyd E. Wilson, Great Bend; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bazine; burial at Nekoma Union Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse and from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Rush County Historical Society or Southwind Hospice
