Lula "Lou" (Bennett) Caldwell was the second wife of Charles H. "Charlie" Caldwell. She was born in the 10th District of Moore County, Tennessee.

Lula died a widow in the Pine Breeze Sanitarium in Hamilton County, Tennessee after an 11 day stay. Her death certificate (Tennessee Death Certificate # 18720) gives her year of birth as 1879 but the 1880 Census for the 10th District of Moore County recorded her age as two. She apparently had a twin brother named for their father, "S. K. Bennett."

Her death certificate lists her father as "Kye Bennett" and her mother as "Maggie Shriver" but the 1880 census records them as "Solomon and Margret [sic] Bennett." The informant is signed as "Mrs. A. E. Bills, R.F.D . 1, Farmington, Tennessee." The undertaker is listed as Caleb Thompson of Shelbyville, Tennessee and gives the date and place of her burial as "04 Sept. 1942, Powell Cemetery." She has no marker.
