Jamie Michelle Gibbon, 41, of 117 Sedgefield Rd., Rockingham passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at her home. She was born June 4, 1970 in Richmond County, a daughter of Dianne Cannon, Corey ' Yank' Gibbon, Jr. and the late James Michael Seago.
Michelle was a graduate of Richmond Senior High School. She was a very loving mother, daughter, and sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 17 at McDonald Baptist Church with Rev. Alex Perakis officiating. Interment will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.
Surviving is a daughter, Jamie Marshburn of the home; stepdaughter, Emily Nguyen; grandson, Victor Nguyen, II; mother, Dianne Cannon; father, Corey ‘ Yank' Gibbon, Jr. and wife Ginger; sisters, Tammy Bass and husband Jerry, Lisa Hudson, and Dawn James; brother, Michael Seago; grandmother, Louise Rivers; nieces, Hailey Bass and Brandi Simmons; and nephew, Ryan Bass. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Seago; and grandparents, Buster and Elizabeth Cannon, and Corey and Lloyd Gibbon, Sr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham and other times at the home.
