Lt. Col. Harold Bernard Selke, 81, of Texarkana, AR, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, in a Texarkana, TX, hospital. He was born March 6, 1929, in Miller, SD. He was a retired Army Chaplain and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Central Christian Church and was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Selke.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Lamar Morgan Selke; two sons, Paul Selke of Northwood, ND, and David Selke of Lawrenceville, GA; one step-son, Jay Morgan of Texarkana, AR; three daughters, Martha Koss of Chico, CA, Mary Favors of Tacoma, WA, and Leah Lopez of Tacoma, WA; one brother, Arvin Selke; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, TX, under the direction of Kaster, Futrell and Maxon Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
