JUAB COUNTY — An Orem man was killed in a rollover accident Thursday afternoon. According to Juab County Sheriff Alden Orme, 59-year-old Michael V. Wilkins on Nebo Loop road near the Red Creek Flats area around 2 p.m. Thursday. The car veered off the side of the road and rolled the 2004 Honda CR-V.

Michael V Wilkins, 59, of Orem, Utah passed away on Thursday July 18, 2013 near Nephi, Utah. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Sharon Park LDS 1st Ward, 310 North 100 East, Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 25 at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 9:30 - 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment at the Orem City Cemetery. Michael Vern Wilkins passed away in a car accident near Nephi, Utah, the afternoon of July 18 2013, at the age 59.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Kent Wilkins and his father, Ashael Wilkins. He is survived by his loving wife Susan of 22 years and by his awesome son Caleb.

Michael and Susan were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 3rd 1991. Michael, Susan and Caleb were sealed together as an eternal family on July 3, 1998 in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple.

Michael is lovingly remembered by his sisters Ladeena (Dell) Peterson and Julie Rose Wilkins, his brothers Alan (Bonnie) Wilkins, David Wilkins, and his nephews and nieces, Randell (Alisha) Peterson, Brenna Peterson, Caryn Peterson, Carie (Kevin) Sellers, Aimee Peterson, Laine (Elyse) Wilkins, Leann Wilkins and Keith Wilkins.

Michael was born in Littleton, Colorado, on January 12, 1954. He graduated from Cooper City High School in 1972, and also attended Ricks College. Michael has worked as a professional Real Estate Agent for the last 22 years, most recently with ReMax Results of Orem, Utah. Michael served faithfully in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the restored gospel and the plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. He enjoyed meeting and associating with all people. He offered an engaging, cheerful greeting to everyone. He was a teacher and trainer in his work, always seeking the best training opportunities he could find so he could provide the best service to his clients. He was devoted to his family and friends—seeing the need and connecting them with the appropriate resources.

Michael enjoyed learning about and using all the latest technology, reading motivational books and listening to CD's. He loved dreaming up and working on new projects. He enjoyed good action movies, hunting, fishing and camping with his son and family.

A viewing will be held Thursday July 25th 2013, from 6-8pm and Friday July 26th from 9:30-10:45am at the Sharon Park 1st Ward Chapel at 310 N 100 E in Orem. The funeral will be at held on July 26th at 11am. Interment is at the Orem City Cemetery 1520 North 800 East after the funeral.
