Richard C. Ellis, 66, of 3 Tatnuck Ter., passed away Friday, July 22, at home. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Jeanne (Carrigan) Ellis; two daughters, Doreen Smith of Worcester and Christine Baez of Yorktown, VA; four grandchildren, Ryan, Kasey, Danny and Leanna; two loving sons-in-laws, Ricky Smith and Hector Biaz; a brother, John Ellis of Baltic, CT; two sisters, June Hanlan of Worcester and Karen Thibedeau of Dudley; many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews. A sister, Patricia Grundstrom, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of John H. and Grace A. (Mazgerdian) Ellis and lived most of his life in Worcester.
Mr. Ellis retired from Anna Marie College in Paxton where he served as a maintenance engineer and enjoyed life. Dick was a member of the Guidinglights Lodge of Masons, Eureka Royal Arch Chapter, Hiram Council Royal and Select Master Masons as a Past Master, Worcester County Commandry #5 Knights Templar, Alethia Grotto and Stella Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Dick enjoyed traveling and camping with his motorhome. He enjoyed his time with his family and good friends.
The funeral service was held in Concordia Lutheran Church, 86 Murray Ave. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Dick and his family were neighbors of ours for years. He was a wonderful man who thought the world of his family and was very involved with them. He is greatly missed.
