Mary Alice Alexander was born in Jersey Channel Islands. She emigrated to the U.S. in circa 1909 with her parents and siblings. She married Jay Charles Whitenack in 1915 in Mount Morris New York. She and Jay had two children, Charles Whitenack and Rozel Whitenack. In the late 1950s she and her husband sold their farm in Mount Morris and moved to San Diego, California. Family members knew her as "Aunt Minnie". She loved collecting antiques.
