Clarence F. Bucher, of Mt. Chestnut, Butler R.D. 5, Mt Chestnut grocer, died suddenly Saturday afternoon. He was dead on arrival at the Butler County Memorial Hospital, of natural causes.
Born in New Martinsville, W.Va., he was the son of Morton and Permillia Yost Bucher.
He had owned and operated Bucher's Store in Mt. Chestnut for the past 43 years.
He was a member of Mt. Chestnut United Presbyterian Church.
He was a Master Mason of the F and AM Wetzel Lodge 39, of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and a member of the New Castle Consistory, Scottish Rite, and Syria Temple Shrine of Pitttsburgh.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Joseph T. Black Post 240, Veterans of Foriegn Wars; and the American Legion Post 117 of Butler.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lula Allen Bucher; a son, Allen Bucher of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Rae) Biehl of South Haven Park, Butler; and Mrs. Duane (Lowell) Cope of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bucher - Friends of Clarence F. Bucher of Mt. Chestnut, Butler R.D. 5 who died Saturday, March 17, 1973, will be received at the family residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the family residence, with the Rev. James F Giesey, pastor of Mt. Chestnut United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut. Arrangements by George D. Pyle Funeral Home, Prospect. Masonic services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
